FOIA 2014-0072-F contains materials related to President George W. Bush’s correspondence with his pastors and other spiritual advisors, specifically Ted Haggard, James Mayfield, Mark Craig, Kirbyjon Caldwell, and Billy Graham.
This FOIA primarily contains materials from the White House Office of Records Management Subject Files PP (Presidential Personal) sub code. Case files from PP are generally comprised of documents that President Bush was given during the course of a few days’ time and normally include correspondence, notes of missed telephone calls, schedules, agendas, weather reports, news articles, talking points, and reports regarding upcoming events. Correspondence includes messages of support or thanks from President Bush’s friends, family, and Administration members, as well as messages pertaining to events such as speeches, holidays, media coverage, or presidential trips. Correspondence from President Bush thanking people for their support or participation in official events and letters from members of Congress are also present. Other materials include one compact disc recording by Christian songwriter Darrell Evans.
